This paper is about Christian ethics, abortion, and the doctrine of double effect. Using Michael Banner's "Christian Ethics and Contemporary Moral Problems" we are to analyze the doctrine of double effect and how that pertains to abortion. We are to include a brief overview of the chapter covering abortion by Banner and how the DDE would pertain to this ethical problem.
